Coopers Hall Urban Winter Wedding in Southeast Portland

Instead of posting a few sneak peeks the day after the wedding, I likely kept everyone in suspense on this one because I wanted to spend that extra time curating a blog post that gave you a little peek into this special day in its entirety. ✨🙌🏼

Tessa and Tyler’s wedding was a small, intimate gathering at Coopers Hall in Southeast Portland. The maid of honor in this wedding (the bride’s sister, Haley) is my childhood best friend. I still cannot believe that I’ve known this sweet family for over 20 years… making this particular wedding so very special for us. 😍☺️

The day started out at a beautiful hotel, where the wedding party spent their morning getting ready for the day. After some detail shots & a first look for the bride & groom — we made our way to the venue and had just enough sunlight to get all of the formal portraits done before their evening ceremony. 👌🏼

It was so heartwarming to hear both families (& close friends) speak so highly of this couples amazing character, strong friendship, & obvious love + connection to each other — one of my favorite parts of any wedding. Although this wedding in particular brought a strong sense of adoration for the amazing guy that won over Tessa’s heart. Undeniably such a perfect pair.

I pretty much lost it (I know I wasn’t the only one) when Rhandy (father of the bride) gave his toast — knowing how much love he has for his 3 daughters… only to get choked up again when they shared their first dance (to the same song that I grew up watching all three of them dance with him to). He even said “I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life” as they reached the dance floor. 😭

The reception was equally hilarious as it was sentimental. Haley and Lexa (Tessa’s sisters) put together a mashed-remix of three songs in which they rewrote the words (personalizing it for Tessa and Tyler) and sang it in front of everyone on the dance floor. Seriously the best. 😂👏🏼

The evening ended with so much love and energy for the happy couple. 🥰 What a beautiful celebration. We are so thankful to have had the privilege of preserving these forever moments.
